Always come here for dim sum craving and ban mian quick fix. Sell many variety of Siew Mai and other dim sum if you are Siew Mai Lover!! Price point more affordable and economical than Nam Kee Pau. They sell Wanton Noodle, Curry Chicken, Dumpling Soups, Toast Set with Coffee and Eggs. Staffs are friendly and hardworking too.

Monday wet market & hawker center closed for cleaning. We came here for breakfast. Packed century egg porridge. Not bad !!! Will try the rest soon ! 烧卖王和虾饺都很好吃! So nice & convenient for the residents here ! Especially under such hot weather.

The Mee Hoon Kueh (面粉粿) and Ban Mian (板面) are delicious. Traditional taste with hand-kneaded dough and simple ingredients. My comfort food!

Lai Kee Pau and Siew Mai is average. Nothing to rave about. It does cost a bit more than average. Service is so so.

They sell Banmian too and it’s actually very legit, soup is robust and even the tomyum version is nice. Definitely a returning customer

I always thought affordable neighborhood dim sum places don't exist anymore, and then I stumbled upon Lai Kee. It's a small dim sum place (restaurant would be too grand a word) in Toh Yi HDB estate. The space is tight but tidy, and I admire them for providing such an extensive menu of dim sum items, noodles and drinks at such affordable prices while not being inside a hot crowded food court. Service was prompt and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Is this the best dim sum I've tried in my life? Clearly no! But for the price I paid and the neighborhood vibes (you see aunties catching up with friends, uncles reading Straits Times), I will gladly be back again.

+Premise cleaner, more spacious and more tables after new owners took over in 2024 + Higher canopy and more fans than before renovation. So more windy. and less stifling. - Prices for most items by 30 cents to $1 cents after new coffeeshop owners` renovation and Lai Kee Dimsum [which has other branches in TPY] took over Bao Zai Handmade Dimsum. Some Bao Zai's unique dimsum items thus no longer offered, XLB, eg unagi buta odango on pork.
